At last I got my own copy of the book by Brian and Deborah Charlesworth. This book, which summarizes our knowledge on the methods of theoretical evolutionary genetics, is a perfect example why biologists should learn mathematics. The book does not require much, but a solid grasp of simple mathematical concepts, such as “phase space”, “dynamical system”, “stability” is necessary to appreciate the details of derivations of the many beautiful results collected in this textbook.
I just started reading this book, but already give my highest recommendations. This book is just wonderful.
