Mathematics of Networks

The preliminary part of the course is almost over. I had time to talk about:

  • Internet as a graph and its properties
  • Ramsey numbers and probabilistic method
  • Basic definitions of the graph theory
  • Measures and characteristics of networks
  • Basics of probability theory
  • Asymptotic notations

The lecture notes can be downloaded here

Next couple of week I will be dealing with the Erdos–Renyi random graph model.
